Most of all, we remember the fine work and dedication of the late Dr. Louis Netzer.  He saw a need, had an idea and the rest is a wonderful history.
We celebrate his vision.

About US

Netzer-Brady International is committed to supporting the important work being carried out by the Fundacion Salud Rio Beni ( Rio Beni Health Foundation) and the strong partnerships being made with local health authorities and villages.

After much reflection and encouragement from many people who have been involved with the Project over the years, and in Bolivia, we have decided to form a non-profit organization to assume full responsibility for the expanding work.

Netzer-Brady International (NB International) has been incorporated in California and has a strong Board of Directors and advisors made up of physicians who have worked with the Project in the past, other health professionals with international experience, and long-term supporters.  The organization’s name honors and celebrates the close friendship and working relationship between the Netzer and Brady families over the past 25 years, in particular Lou and Christopher’s collaboration on their work in the Upper Amazon rainforest in Bolivia.

The Project has had key administrative support in the past from two non-profit organizations, Direct Relief International (2000-2004) and Concern America (2005-March, 2008).  Christopher has directed the Project with both organizations since 2000, and we feel that it is the natural time in the evolution of the Project to administer and manage the work ourselves.  Direct Relief International (www.directrelief.org), which has been sending two shipments of medical supplies per year since the beginning of the Project, has offered to be the fiscal agent during this period.

We are extremely appreciative of this offer, as Direct Relief has been so very important to the Project over the years.  We look forward to continuing our great partnership.

The Rio Beni Health Project (now known as the Rio Beni Health Foundation after recently receiving its charitable status in Bolivia) is celebrating its 10-year anniversary, and we honor the commitment made by so many people both here in the U.S. and in the rainforest of Bolivia to help bring better medical care, clean water, and health education to the people of the Rio Beni Region.
